Nestled among the titanic megabaums of a quiet teutonic forest, a boy and his father live in mostly peaceful isolation.

First part of a longer story, but these take forever to draw so it's gonna be more of a trickle than a flood of pages.

NB I stole the name of the titular character (whose father appears above) from the boyfriend of a norwegian friend of mine, because I think it's a really cool name and I wanted to go for a germanic/scandinavian vibe for the story. She will probably see this so I thought I should apologise in advance!

The suggester says, "The pacing works really well and you can tell that each panel has been considered highly in terms of composition and size. The comic flows so well you can almost hear it, I love how silent that last panel looks.
Colours that are warm and inviting only compliments the story and the pixel-art style only enforces how much attention he paid to detail and finish, despite the style being respectively simple. "

Brilliant! Have you done (/are you going to do) any other comics? This is really something good. Tight artwork, great character design and pacing.

thanks! I'm trying to find more time to work on comics for myself (continuing this one right now) I've started a few here and there but I'm trying to bite the bullet and actually see one through to the end so that I can actually show a publisher something substantial. They just take so long!

I didn't notice the broken moon from the first panel. It looked like it broke while he was chopping down the tree. Wonderful style, it made it very interesting :D
